The mishandling of patient information is "totally unacceptable" and
procedures for handling such information will be reviewed, Col. John
Devillier, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base commander, said.
"We
have protocols in place to prevent something like this from happening,
but our personnel did not follow those protocols," Devillier said in a
prepared statement. "I can assure you the individuals at fault will be
dealt with and we will also review all our procedures to see if we need
to supplement them with additional checkpoints.
