Sears Holdings Corp. said the payment data systems at its Kmart
Holding Corp. stores were breached starting in early September,
resulting in some debit and credit card numbers being compromised.
Based on its investigation so far, no personal information, email addresses or Social Security numbers were obtained, and there is no evidence that kmart.com customers were impacted, Sears said in a filing Friday with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
